Coordinated Efforts of IT Specialists in Departmental Organisations Support Modernisation and Cybersecurity

On 16 April 2026, a workshop for IT specialists from partner organisations took place at the Veterinary Research Institute. Participants included representatives from the Research Institute for Soil and Water Conservation, the Research Institute of Animal Science, and the Czech Agrifood Research Centre. The aim of the workshop was to coordinate approaches in key areas of IT infrastructure modernisation and the strengthening of cybersecurity.

The main topic of the meeting was the implementation of the NIS 2 Directive and maximising the potential of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The discussion focused in particular on identity security, centralised device management using Microsoft Intune, and the integration of artificial intelligence tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, into everyday work processes.

At the same time, further development of the SharePoint platform to support internal collaboration was discussed, and practical experience with certification processes and the full production use of electronic records management systems was shared.

This close collaboration between departmental organisations promotes the effective sharing of best practices and the development of a modern digital environment, which forms a key foundation for cutting-edge research.
