The stand of the Veterinary Research Institute at the Agrishow trade fair was visited this morning by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ing. Jaroslava Beneš Špalková.
During the visit, she met with the VRI Director, Doc. MVDr. Martin Faldyna, Ph.D.; the Head of the Economics Unit, Mgr. František Pernica; the Head of the Department of Microbiology and Antimicrobial Resistance, Mgr. Magdalena Crhánová, Ph.D.; the Institute’s PR Manager, MVDr. Jan Bernardy, Ph.D.; and Doc. MVDr. Soňa Šlosárková, Ph.D.
Doc. Faldyna presented the activities of VRI, its research priorities, and ongoing projects. The discussion focused in particular on the practical impact of research, the level of instrumentation and equipment, staffing capacities, and the funding of science in the field of agricultural research.
