The Veterinary Research Institute (VRI) marks a significant milestone this year – the 70th anniversary of its founding. During the annual Agricultural Fair Země živitelka in České Budějovice, we had the opportunity to present not only our history and achievements, but also our current activities and engagement within the professional community.
Our stand hosted discussions with experts and the general public on current topics in veterinary medicine, animal health, and food safety. Over the long term, the Institute has consistently advanced veterinary research and promoted collaboration with industry, universities, and the state administration.
The programme also included a short interview with the nominees and award recipients in the competitions of the Minister of Agriculture, prepared in cooperation with Profi Press, s.r.o. This material offers a closer look at the distinguished personalities and projects recognized for their contributions to Czech agriculture. “Seventy years is not only an opportunity to look back, but also to express our gratitude to all employees and partners who have contributed to the development of VRI. We are proud to provide consistent support to Czech livestock breeding and agriculture,” stated the head of the Institute.
