From September 6th to 8th, 2024, the Veterinary Research Institute once again took part in the Festival of Science and Technology. The event, organised by the Brno Observatory and Planetarium with financial support from the Statutory City of Brno and the South Moravian Region, attracted 10,000 visitors this year. "Balance" was the main theme of the festival. The Institute's exhibition, which this year was complemented by a presentation from the State Veterinary Administration for the South Moravian Region, focused on demonstrating how the balance between health and disease is studied, who or what can cause disease and how to prevent it. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the Institute's scientific activities in an entertaining way. Through interactive elements and quizzes, fascinating information and new insights from the world of science were presented to raise awareness among both children and adults about the importance of science and research in everyday life. The programme was suitable for all ages.
The Institute's participation in this popularization and educational event was financially supported by the Ministry of Agriculture as part of the Annual Educational Plan for Public Training.
